4 Farada Spa — Spa treatment reference: session | 4faradaspa.com

A standard spa menu splits into hands-on treatments, heat rooms and water circuits, and each is measured differently. Massages and facials are booked by the hour or half-hour — 15 to 90 minutes — while sauna and steam are dosed in rounds of 8–15 minutes with cooling in between. This reference lays out every duration, temperature and preparation rule so a visit can be planned by the clock.

60–90 min

Classic full-body massage

The longest standard booking. It suits a first visit when the schedule allows a clear hour or more.

15–30 min

Neck-and-shoulder session

The shortest bookable treatment. It fits a lunch break or works as an add-on before a heat room.

30–60 min

Facial

A staged skin treatment lasting half an hour to an hour, with no heat exposure involved.

49–54 °C

Hot-stone massage

Basalt stones heated to 49–54 °C are laid along the spine and limbs, so the heat does part of the work.

8–15 min

Sauna round

One round inside an 80–100 °C room, followed by 10–20 minutes of cooling. A visit is two to three rounds.

1–3 min

Contrast stage

One to three minutes in 15 °C water, then the same in 40 °C water, alternating between the two.

What spa treatments are there?

Five groups cover the standard menu: massage, hot-stone work, facials, dry and wet heat rooms, and water circuits.

Massage is the anchor service. A classic full-body session runs 60–90 minutes, a focused neck-and-shoulder session 15–30 minutes, and hot-stone massage adds basalt stones heated to 49–54 °C, placed along the spine and limbs.

Facials sit in the middle of the clock at 30–60 minutes and involve no heat exposure, which makes them the easiest treatment to combine with a heat room on the same visit.

Heat and water form the second half of the menu: a Finnish sauna at 80–100 °C, a steam room or hammam at 40–45 °C, hydrotherapy pools at 34–36 °C, hot tubs at 37–40 °C, and contrast therapy alternating 15 °C cold with 40 °C hot. Every duration is sorted on the duration chart page.

How long does each treatment take?

Bookable hands-on time runs from 15 to 90 minutes; heat and water are measured in rounds and stages of 1–20 minutes.

The three fixed appointments are simple to plan. Neck-and-shoulder work takes 15–30 minutes, a facial 30–60 minutes, and a full-body massage 60–90 minutes. Hot-stone sessions follow the massage format, with the stones doing the heating at 49–54 °C.

Heat is not booked by the hour. One sauna round lasts 8–15 minutes, each round is followed by 10–20 minutes of cooling, and a visit is two to three rounds — roughly 36 to 105 minutes of heat-and-cool in total. Contrast therapy runs shorter still: 1–3 minutes per stage, alternating 15 °C and 40 °C water.

The full sorted list, from the 15-minute neck session to the 90-minute full-body booking, is kept on the treatment duration chart page.

  • 30–60 min — facial
  • 60–90 min — classic full-body massage
  • 8–15 min — one sauna round
  • 10–20 min — one cooling break
  • 1–3 min — one contrast-therapy stage

How this reference was compiled

Every figure here comes from standard operating guidance for spa facilities: published session lengths, room temperature and humidity ranges, and the common safety protocol for heat exposure. Where venues differ, a range is shown rather than a single number. No prices, operators or brands are included, because this page is a reference, not a menu.

Where the numbers come from

The figures reflect commonly published operating ranges for treatment duration, room temperature, humidity and hydration guidance.
